Overview:

Our client, a US Fortune 250 company and a global Medical technology corporation serving customers in Clinical Labs, Health care research & Pharmaceutical industry, seeks an accomplished Sr. Collection Specialist (Federal Government).

*** Location: St Antonio, TX 78249

*** Duration: 6+ months (with possibility of getting hired)

Work hours: Work hours (8.00AM – 5.00PM CST)

Virtual/onsite: Hybrid – currently the team is coming into the office approximately 1 week every month. The rest of the time would be working remotely.

Job Summary:

In this role, the Sr. Collection Specialist is responsible for ensuring the prompt payment of the accounts receivables in order to maximize revenue management for the client. Responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, monitoring assigned AR Portfolio, ensuring timely payments, resolving Customer concerns and assisting with resolution of escalated collection issues.

TOP SKILLS:

• Client looking for applicants with who have worked in collections but specifically with the US Federal Government.

• This would include entities such as NIH, FDA, and CDC.

• Ideally these applicants have experience working with Government AP portals such as WAWF, and ECAT

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

• Proactively monitor and reconcile customer accounts (Federal Government)

• Identify, and facilitate the resolution of, disputed receivables.

• Provide exceptional customer support, responding to account queries in a timely and professional manner

• Maintain a detailed understanding of customer contracts and how they impact the collections process

• Maintain accurate and up to date customer account documentation

• Proactively escalate to internal support partners and Sr Management as appropriate

• Identify, and communicate process improvement opportunities to Manager as appropriate

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years in commercial collections specifically related to the US Federal Government

• Experience utilizing customer AP portals (WAWF, ECAT, Tungsten)

• Strong analytical/problem solving skills

• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

• Superior customer service skills

• Strong attention to detail and goal oriented

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities

• Knowledge of collection techniques (i.e. skip tracing)

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

• High School Degree or equivalent

• Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment, multitask, set own priorities, able to adapt to a changing environment, and lead without the authority.

Preferred:

• Direct experience with SAP

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Experience working in a shared service center

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Accounting / Economics
