Job Summary:

Support multi-disciplinary software, hardware, and firmware development teams involved in designing, implementing, testing, and documenting embedded software/hardware applications focusing primarily in embedded systems and associated test systems. Perform hardware/firmware/software design, development, integration, and testing for applications in specialized radio communication, radiolocation and electronic warfare programs. Perform laboratory testing, field testing, and troubleshooting. Perform documentation of requirements, design, and testing of engineering hardware, software and firmware prototypes and test systems. Perform research and development of embedded systems in signal processing, telecommunications, machine learning, or RF applications. Interact directly with project team, project management, and technical customer to fully understand the task objectives.


Education/Experience:

Requires a BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 0-5 years experience. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Requires coursework and interest in software, electronics, and circuit design/test. Embedded software/firmware design/development/test experience preferred. DSP/FPGA/GPU hardware, firmware, and software development experience preferred. Experience in Verilog, VHDL, or OpenCL, as well as hardware and software testing for both embedded hardware (FPGAs) and software (C/C++) preferred. Interest in signal processing, telecommunications, or RF applications is a plus. Machine learning taxonomies, ontologies and technologies experience is a plus. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and must be able to work on a team. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
