Our client has a well-deserved reputation for manufacturing exceptional precision-machined aircraft components including hardened and ground gears, shafts, and assemblies for aircraft, turbine, and defense assemblies. Customer applications include fixed wing, rotorcraft, turbine, U.A.V., Satellite/space, and specialty defense vehicle industries.
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager (or Director) will be responsible for the technical and administrative leadership for manufacturing engineering. This leadership role will be responsible for the creation and execution of manufacturing plans to meet company goals and objectives while creating a culture of process excellence that promotes and affects continuous improvements and cost reduction and quality.
· Lead and direct the Manufacturing Engineers in creating processes, creating and maintaining accurate routers, creating and maintaining process procedures, and defining tooling required to support production and new product development programs.
· Define and lead continuous improvement projects throughout the Manufacturing organization while developing the skills of the team on the use of lean tools.
· Work closely with Planning, Manufacturing, Program Management, Engineering, and Quality to provide timely support to achieve customer needs and requirements.
