About The Role

Company is looking for an experienced Head of Marketing who will report directly into the CEO and be fully responsible for all things marketing, including channel strategy, budget allocation, funnel optimization, brand strategy, and team building. As the Head of Marketing, you 'll be responsible for facilitating cross functional collaboration with our Operations, Finance, and Product team, as well as working closely with the CEO on strategy. We are looking for a candidate who loves working on complex business problems and thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneur, fast-paced and feedback-driven environment. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a balanced mix of tactical marketing skills, the grit and motivation to scale demand into new markets, an analytical mind to continuously optimize a sustainable growth strategy, and the emotional intelligence needed to inspire teams.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of marketing, including channel strategy, budget allocation, conversion funnel optimization, team building, customer experience, and reporting
  • Responsible for the growth of our customer base across markets while maintaining customer satisfaction, healthy marketplace equilibrium, and achieving target unit economics
  • Establish channel forecasts and budget recommendations, with the speed and ownership to adjust tactics and strategies based on learnings and opportunities
  • Serve as a key partner on the Senior Leadership team, working cross functionally with the CEO, VP of Ops, Head of Product, and Head of Finance to drive strategic business initiatives towards their goals
  • Dissect and optimize the entire marketing funnels (ToF, MoF, BoF); Understand and manipulate the key levers at each step of the funnel to maximize growth within the confines of the company 's unit economic targets
  • Manage and mentor Director of Growth to jointly execute across all marketing responsibilities
  • Balance the teams capabilities against business needs to optimally grow the team
  • Hire, develop, and lead a team focused on growth and marketing excellence
  • Manage the marketing budget and resource allocation from annual planning to ongoing variable spend
  • Oversee and build upon the entire CX, from first touch to paying customer
  • Manage a dotted line reporting relationship to the Sr. Sales Manager (sits in Ops org) to influence middle of funnel conversion and ensure a consistent CX that is aligned with the company 's brand
  • Iterate and execute on a launch/growth plan for new markets

Who You Are

  • 8-10 years of experience of growth marketing experience
  • 4+ years in a people management role with experience hiring and building teams
  • Experience in leading the growth of a company from +$10M to $100M+ in revenue
  • Demonstrate strong listening, information gathering and empathy skills for uncovering and defining deliverables, needs and outcomes
  • Strong people leadership skills - you can help set the tone with the team, with a results-driven, yet compassionate mentality
  • Data oriented with sound business judgement and a strong analytical thinker; skilled in reporting and analysis using Google Sheets (or other tools)
  • Effective written and verbal communicator with strong leadership, presentation, and mentorship skills
  • Previous experience within a B2C technology company, startup, or other fast-paced environment
