Human Resources develops and implements our 'employees, candidates, and operational' strategies to support Wells Fargo's business objectives. This group manages compensation and benefits, human resource service centers, systems and payroll, employee relations and assistance, talent management, learning and development, and recruiting. This is a newly created position that will partner with the HR Global Delivery Activity leader to manage a 'portfolio' of HR function(s) with global delivery services to develop the global service delivery strategy, successful implementation and ongoing governance and oversight of offshored services for select HR functions.  This is an individual contributor role that will report to the head of Wells Fargo's HR Vendor Management and Global Delivery department, and functionally align to the HR Global Delivery leader.

Wells Fargo's HR Vendor Management and Global Delivery team is responsible for HR's 'build versus buy' strategy for all current and future third-party vendor engagements for consulting, design, and service delivery activities. This includes centralization of vendor strategy and engagement management, as well as establishing our future global HR delivery plan, activities, and the partnerships necessary to enhance our multi-site delivery capabilities and resources.

The HR Global Delivery Portfolio Manager will serve as the liaison between the HR function and the offshored HR delivery manager/team to provide best-practices, strategic direction, manage the successful implementation of offshored services, provide ongoing oversight and performance monitoring of the global delivery service.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Establish a collaborative partnership with various stakeholder groups such as the Wells Fargo Line of Business leaders, Global Solutions Program Office (GSPO), Transition Manager, Business Process Management, HR Global Delivery (GDA) Risk, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful approval of GDA transitions, implementation & ongoing governance
  • Leverage industry best-practices and perspectives to support a consultative approach to leading the development and execution of Global Delivery service offerings for a portfolio of HR functions and/or leaders
  • Partner with the Global Solution Program Office (GSPO) to formulate strategy, transition process and migration of the work
  • Understand the Global Delivery Activity (GDA) service for the HR function including all products and services provided, as well as the scope of the services to drive greater efficiencies and cost reductions for HR
  • Perform monthly and quarterly operational meetings and business reviews to provide oversight and governance of the following:
    • Global Service Delivery (GDA) roadmap for assigned portfolio of HR functions
    • Implementation
    • Change Management
    • Global Delivery (offshoring) performance ensuring conformity to SLA's and KPI's
    • Success of risk controls put in place by reviewing results of risk assessments
  • Utilize data and insights to inform decisions, as well as advance, innovate and improve the GDA service on behalf of the HR functional teams
  • Develop a strong governance and communication  model with all Stakeholders and Global Delivery teams throughout our global footprint
  • Escalate and inform any compliance or other significant concerns to senior leaders and business partners as necessary.

This position equates to an internal Wells Fargo Job Code of Business Support Consultant 4.

Preferred Locations: Charlotte, NC; Minneapolis, MN; Des Moines, IA; Portland, OR; San Antonio, TX. However, other locations within the Wells Fargo footprint may be considered.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services demonstrated through work or military experience
  • 6+ years of human resources experience

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the inter-connectedness of broad HR functions
  • HR offshoring or HR outsourcing experience, and/or experience with various modalities of an HR Shared Service function (centralized)
  • Strong program management experience
  • Knowledgeable in organizational design concepts
  • Ability to drive initiatives in a cross functional environment, track updates, ensure timely closure on milestones
  • Ability to build quality assurance frameworks, training programs and transition checklists
  • Strong execution and communication skills
  • Development and implementation of metric and reporting definition and management
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all internal organizational levels, as well as externally
  • Ability to effectively build strategic presentations in PowerPoint in order to build a storyline and communicate concepts to middle and senior leadership around service delivery models and business cases

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
