With leader and senior team member assistance, an Instructional Designer at Credit Acceptance analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates training materials including but not limited to instructor guides, PowerPoint slides, webinars, videos, and activities for instructor-led, virtual instructor-led and web-based courses and training evaluation methods (Levels 1-3).

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong Knowledge and application of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Strong understanding of project management practices.
  • Strong ability to work within constraints including but not limited to tight deadlines, changing requirements, and limited resource availability.
  • Self-driven and able to perform with moderate supervision in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Quick thinker, with an ability to understand and interpret information promptly and effectively.
  • Analytical skills to determine customer needs and design an appropriate solution.
  • Ability to solicit input, influence, and support decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related fields.
  • 2+ years’ experience with content design and development.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SnagIt, or comparable programs.
  • Experience with Audacity, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, or comparable programs.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively in both spoken and written formats.
  • Analytical skills to determine customer needs and design an appropriate solution.
  • Experience evaluating training effectiveness and impact.
  • Experience designing job-specific training in various modalities.
  • Proven success serving multiple clients and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • 10% or less of possible travel annually.

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related fields.
  • Experience designing self-paced online training solutions, not limited to systems training.
  • Experience with Audacity, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia or comparable programs.
  • Experience facilitating.
  • Experience executing project Beta's.

Targeted Compensation: $59,000 - $78,500 + an annual bonus plan
