Job Summary
The Robotic Paint Engineer will be responsible for and involved in a Greenfield BIW
and Paint-shop facility. Persons will be engaged in equipment installation, project
management and TIP updates according to SOP dates. Engineer will aid in standard
work instruction development and establish Yamazumi’s for job balancing, employee
placement and headcount. Engineer will also be required to travel 50 to 75% of the time
during design and installation. Persons will also be heavily involved in future expansion
and layout of new product introduction.
Responsibilities
The Robotic Paint Engineer must be knowledgeable of ABB, FANUC and DURR
installation, programming and troubleshooting. As well as be able to use Paint Pro
offline programming. Individual should be proficient in establishing brush and preset
numbers for Paint according to vendors topcoat and High and Sag criteria. Individual
should also be able to create and design new jigs and fixtures for robotic paint
processes. Persons should also be extremely knowledgeable of all paint processes and
ensure implementation is based on quality criteria set by Navistar. Must have
experience in Greenfield/Brownfield paint shop projects, including design, layout,
process flow and equipment selection. Individual must also be versed in pathing
optimization and CI of programs and be competent in new product integration.
