Who are we?

The Spa Attendant greets clients and introduces the facilities and program components to individuals and groups. Furthermore, the attendant monitors the spa and fitness room for cleanliness, safety, and provides direction or instruction when appropriate. The Spa Attendant shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times.

What you will have an opportunity to do:

Essential Functions

  • Issue spa lockers, robes and slippers to guests and then escort guests to their lockers

  • Provide orientation tour, explain spa amenities and answer guests’ questions

  • Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized spa environment through consistent monitoring of the locker/facility area

  • Stock locker room supplies and amenities and maintain accurate supply lists and inventory sheets

  • Ensures adequate stock of supplies and equipment; inform management when stock is low

  • Utilize spa computers with skill and proficiency; document guest information in electronic record as directed

  • Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail,

  • Maintain complete knowledge of hotel features/services, hours of operation, and any promotions

  • Maintain eye contact when addressing external and internal guests; develop professional and personalized relationship with regular guests

  • Maintain complete confidentiality in all guest matters in accordance with company policy

  • Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously

  • Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction

  • Develop ability to work without constant direct supervision and remain at assigned post for extended periods of time

  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment

  • Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa

  • Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention

  • Other duties as assigned

  • With a keen eye for detail, review the event order assignment sheet to determine function requirements.

  • With a warm and genuine demeanor, set, stock, and maintain meeting rooms ensuring the event for our groups exceeds their expectations.

  • Meticulously complete cleaning inspection for each meeting room and assigned area.

  • Ensure quality communication by reporting any and all guest request changes to management.

  • Jump in and assist other departments as needed to ensure optimum service to guests.

Experience and Education:

  • High school education or equivalent required

  • At least one-year Spa experience preferred

  • At least one year of customer service experience required

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must be able to work well under pressure

  • Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written

  • Must be highly detailed orientated

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Must have excellent listening skills

  • Must possess excellent communication skills

  • Must be professional in appearance and demeanor

  • Must always ensure a teamwork environment

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays

  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates

  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner

  • Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking and stair climbing.

  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height

  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs;

  • Must be able to bend, squat, push and pull frequently;

  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, squeezing, overhead reaching and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently.
