Who We Are:

Providing design, development, and analysis on components, engines, transmissions, and vehicles, we also support research and modeling for fuel mixing, combustion, filtration, and fluid flow analysis. We are pioneers in measuring engine and vehicle exhaust emissions.


Objectives of this Role:

  • Manage the HEDGE IV consortium and Powertrain Consulting Service and establish and maintain working relationships with clients to ensure continued success of these ventures.
  • Maintain an acute awareness of industry and regulatory trends and take a lead role in setting the strategy and direction for the department. Manage the section portfolio of Internal Research & Development and apply technical expertise in the development of innovative solutions.
  • Provide guidance on the expansion of laboratory capabilities, developing best practices, and through training and mentorship of junior engineers.
  • Regularly attend and actively participate in relevant industry conferences to promote the capabilities of the Powertrain Engineering Division.

Requirements:

  • Must have a Ph.D. Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 4 years: Must have 4 years of post-baccalaureate automotive engineering research or experience.
  • The 4 years of research or experience must include experience with research and development projects related to Spark-ignited engine performance, thermal efficiency, and emissions;
  • working in an engine test cell environment including engine instrumentation, data acquisition, and engine controls and calibration; meeting specific industry/client expectations in combustion-science, engine efficiency, emission standards, and durability; and GT-Power.
  • Must travel 25% domestically and internationally.
