You will take product goals and deliverables, and coordinate with the frontend development team to create innovate interfaces that accomplish these core goals and more. As an advocate for the end-user, you will research and become an expert in customer personas and legacy workflows so that your innovations elegantly solve problems, add tangible value, and most importantly, delight the customer.

Job Details

Primary Duties And Responsibilities:
Works closely with Product Management and Developers to drive the evolution and delivery of our products with an excellent user interfaces and intuitive user experiences.
Has a “big picture”, strategic perspective about product development; understands how a product should look and feel, but more importantly, what problems the product is solving and the value that it is providing.
Rapidly develops prototypes and collects/synthesizes feedback from internal and external sources.
Produces product backlog stories for use in discussion with product management for what comes into the development backlog.
Designs graphic user interface elements and understands how to best leverage industry standard toolkits, like Adobe to more effectively and efficiently meet goals and deadlines.
Has the ability to deliver basic research and resulting UIs with high velocity, and rapid iteration based on feedback
Creates user experiences and workflows that are functional, elegant, simple, and intuitive
Collaborates daily with the development team to ensure they have what they need to deliver features and products rapidly and with high degree of quality
Ability to lead user-facing projects and is responsible for all UIUX deliverables
Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like.
Conducts research on emerging technologies and design standards; advocates and promotes modern UIUX standards with the broader development team
Creates and maintains a design library for use by designers, developers and marketing teams
Experience designing B2B products

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of industry experience developing consumer and/or commercial web application interfaces and mobile experiences
Knowledge of a wireframing tool or prototyping tool like Axure.
Experience with at least one standard design system (Bootstrap, Material, etc)
Up to date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Experience collaborating deeply with frontend development teams.
Experience creating UX documents (personas, mockups, wireframes, story-mapping, etc.)
Experience creating a wide range of designs and design elements for use in web and mobile applications.
An exceptional intuition for aesthetics
An enthusiastic, collaborative spirit
Ability to represent complex error states and device management workflows
Ability to synthesize large amount of industrial data into simple views that help non-technical users easily achieve their business goals.
The ability to hit deadlines and exceed expectations set by Product teams.
An online portfolio that showcases examples of your work product, demonstrating your design process and ability to take your ideas from conception to completion with incremental milestones
Experience creating new products as well as making measurable improvements to existing workflows and designs
Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work in an agile team environment
Highly motivated self-starter with an extreme sense of ownership and desire to delight customers
San Antonio, TX-based (willingness to relocate if needed)

Preferred Qualifications:
HTML/CSS/JS knowledge
XAML knowledge
Ability to lead a team of designers
Experience in design related to IoT systems or hardware devices
Experience usability testing your ideas
Experience contributing on an Agile (Scrum) development team
Experience collaborating with development/SDETs as they produce coded UI automation
Experience with collaboration tools (Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, Aha!)
