Formative is looking for a Product Marketing Manager, with Education Technology experience, to develop and execute marketing strategies alongside the creative content necessary to support these strategies. You will be the first Formative Product Marketing leader.   • This position is 100% remote. Formative is registered as an employer in many, but not all, states. We can only consider applicants residing in the US and in the following states where Formative is registered: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Craft core product positioning that differentiates our value from the competition.
  • Develop messaging that resonates with key markets and personas.
  • Serve as a critical liaison between development and customer-facing teams.
  • Conceptualize and craft educational product and solution content for a variety of platforms (one pagers, infographics, etc.).
  • Contextualize Formative within the competitive EdTech landscape.
  • Support sales through training and enablement, including the development of internal tools and external collateral.
  • Plan and manage multi-channel product communications, including new feature releases, enhancements, and thought leadership.
  • Partner with the product team to evangelize our users’ needs.
  • Partner with sales leaders to track and drive conversion of the sales pipeline, in support of revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and design leaders to develop strategic campaigns and compelling assets that communicate the value of Formative in order to support retention and acquisition efforts.
  • Analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Conduct ongoing win/loss analysis and market research to support the evolution of our product development and go-to-market strategies.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of direct experience in Product Marketing/Content Creation in an EdTech and B2B/SaaS model company.
  • Experience in constructing marketing plans that encompass strategy, customer research, competitive analysis, product requirements, messaging, content creation, etc.
  • A strong portfolio of produced creative content.
  • Proficient with design tools like Figma, and Adobe CC.
  • Experience collaborating across geographies and with cross-functional teams, including executive management, product management, operations, sales, and marketing.
  • Superior organizational, time-management, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of product management, product marketing or sales enablement experience in EdTech.
  • Proven brand-positioning and product-value-proposition-development expertise.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple work streams and priorities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic-thinking skills.
