Purposeof the Position:

This is an intermediate Real Estate Managementposition within the Real Estate and Farm & Ranch Department. This position is responsible for the prudentmanagement of the Wealth Management Division's real estate properties withbroad experience in multiple real estate sectors, with limited supervision fromthe Department Manager. This is a publiccontact position with extensive hands-on duties. The function includes asset managementactivities to include, but not limited to, verification of title documentation,property inspections, annual property reviews, engagement of appraisers andappraisal review, property tax administration, insurance administration,contractor engagement and oversight, and negotiation of sales, purchases, andleases for residential, commercial, and farm and ranch properties.


  • Review title documents for all real properties to determine ownership interest and implement curative title activities when warranted. Conducts pre-acceptance inspections and due diligence, as well as periodic inspections of assets. Supervise set up of assets on accounting systems.
  • Review notices of assessed value to ensure appropriateness of assessed values, exemptions, and special valuations, and complete and file appropriate exemption and special valuation forms, as required. Review ad valorem tax statements and process same to ensure timely receipt and payment of taxes.
  • Review comprehensive general liability policy schedule of properties and individual policies per account to include monitoring adequacy of coverage and adjusting coverage as needed. File and oversee insurance claims.
  • Work closely with principals, co-trustees, beneficiaries, heirs, co-owners and tenants to prudently manage the real estate and strengthen relationships.
  • Perform inspections, engage appraisers and review real estate appraisals, engage professional consultants to include surveyors, environmental consultants, architects, etc., engage and oversee contractors, and implement transaction activities to include sales, purchases, leases, and other transfers of property rights.
  • Responsible for reviewing and complying with policies and procedures for real estate management and notes/mortgages in compliance with trust and related regulations.
  • RelationshipManager Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain primary contact relationships with targeted customers to maximize the lifetime value of these key relationships.
  • Refer financial/banking services to customers with the assistance of the appropriate specialists throughout the organization.
  • Build loyalty and drive profitable revenue growth by applying key customer relationship management principles including:
    • Resolving immediate customer concerns and account issues.
    • Actively managing a portfolio of targeted/high-value customers and/or segments of customers;
    • Developing and executing targeted client retention and expansion activities (develop and secure new business from existing portfolio base);
    • New customer acquisition activities, ensuring a more effective identification and cultivation of potentially high-value relationships.
    • Working to ensure that a coordinated and consistent message reaches targeted customers across all delivery/servicing channels
  • Demonstrate strong solution-oriented sales and communications skills and effectively establish rapport and credibility with customers, vendors, and team mates.
  • Demonstrate leadership and team-building skills.
  • Possess a broad knowledge of financial services and products with a customer-centric vision.
  • Handleother duties as assigned.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of real estate experience
  • 5+ years real estateexperience within a trust department preferred

Education Requirements:

  • 4 year college degree or 6 years work experience in real estate
  • 4 year college degree in related field preferred
  • Real Estate Licensepreferred


  • Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel Outlook) required
  • Experience with automated Trust accounting systems preferred
