About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Control Management Specialist in the Consumer Lending organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures within Control Management functional area
  • Provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls
  • Monitor moderately complex business specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies
  • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
  • Provide guidance to business groups on the development, implementation, and monitoring of business specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk
  • Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education

Desired Qualifications

  • Merchant card sales experience
  • Experience with Wells Fargo risk systems such as Shared Risk Platform (SHRP), Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), or Control Risk Analysis System (CRAS+)
  • Audit or internal controls testing experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of business process

Other Desired Qualifications:

  • Merchant Payments background with prior experience in International
  • Merchant Processing, Merchant Sponsorships, Card Network Compliance, and merchant operations functions.
  • Merchant products experience
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to provide leadership to a matrixed organization environment
  • Ability to identify and evaluate trends, isolate root cause, and provide swift/thorough resolution
  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Financial Services, Banking background
  • International background (APAC, EMEA, LATAM, Canada, etc.)
  • Issues Management
  • Experience mapping business processes and risks
  • Works with others successfully even when they have differing viewpoints
  • 2 years of business process management in the financial services industry
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Collaborative professional skills that advance a collegial and partnered approach to meeting objectives
  • Experience mapping business processes
  • MBA and/or industry related certification preferred (CAMS, CERP, CRCM, etc.)
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
