Location: Cibolo, TX 78124 (relocation assistant will be provided for those who need to relocate for this role)

Supervises: HR Assistant Manager and Specialists

Years of Experience: 8-10 years

*5+ years in Manufacturing environment with 300+ employees

*10+ years in a leadership role

We are a leader in the manufacturing of Automatic Transmissions is hiring for a high performing and experienced Senior Manager of Human Resources and thought leader. This position will report to the GM of Administration and will be responsible for creating architecture, doing the implementation, and managing the daily operations for a Manufacturing facility located in Cibolo, Texas.

This position will be responsible for all aspects of human resources with a stronger emphasis on the HR functions of organizational development, talent management, compensation, performance management, on-boarding, hiring, training, culture building, communication, and employee engagement.

In your role as a human resources expert and a leader, you will use your expertise to immerse yourself in the company’s culture and people, evaluate the existing structures and implement best practices, systems, and areas for improvement. Through thoughtful collaboration and involvement, you will work within the company to develop talent to meet the longer-term strategic business objectives. A qualified candidate is someone who has managed human resources at a senior level but has also hands-on experience in the different human resources functions.

Job Skill Requirements

1. Must have strong knowledge and experience doing and managing a broad set of HR functional areas including employment law, HR compliance, payroll, HRIS systems, employee relations, investigations, benefits, retirement plans, recruiting, record keeping, compensation, performance management, onboarding, training, and personnel management on HR policies and processes.

2. Must possess experience working with senior level leaders and performing as the HR expert as a member of the top leadership team. Successful at advising and coaching business leaders on training, performance management and employee relations.

3. Must have strong business acumen experience at crafting HR strategies that can drive business results. Have the ability to use organizational development skills set to coach, challenge and influence senior leaders on strategic HR related issues and provide solutions to complex issues.

4. Have demonstrated success at working with managers to develop and implement workforce plans designed to close skill gaps and build the bench strength necessary for future needs of the business.

5. Have developed and implemented thoughtful performance management & talent development programs tailored to the company’s culture.

6. Able to be creative and can build out operating frameworks, establish and administer special projects programs and solve problems to complex issues that do not have previously defined answers.

7. Must enjoy setting standards of excellence and mentoring your team to help them achieve the best they can be.

8. Execute other activities upon request by the company.


1. Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field.

2. 10+ years of experience in Human Resources Management.

3. Human Resources Certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).

4. 10+ years of experience in leadership/supervisory experience.

5. 5+ years of experience working in manufacturing environment

6. Experience in working for a company with 300+ employees.

7. Comprehensive understanding of all employment laws and standards.

8. Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills

9. Self-motivated, self-directing, strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.

10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Power point, etc.), able to create documents, graphs and presentations.

11. Must be able to work outside typical business hours according to business needs.

12. Reasonable business travel required according to business needs.
