Provide leadership and act as a resource for all areas related to credentialing. Responsible for facilitation of all aspects of credentialing and privileging of medical-dental staff. Interfaces with various Health System and external departments to collect pertinent data to ensure compliance with JCAHO, NCQA and federal and state regulatory agencies. Facilitates and monitors medical-dental staff standing committee meetings, ad-hoc and special committee meetings.
Bachelor’s Degree in a health care related or business management field or equivalent experience is required. Four years of experience in medical staff services in a health system is required. At least one year of supervisory experience is required. Thorough understanding of JCAHO, NCQA, federal, state and regulatory agency requirements is required.
Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (CPMSM and/or CPCS) is preferred at employment or required upon completion of 3-years of employment for this position.
