Robert Half Finance is looking for a Staff Accountant for a full-time opportunity. In this role, the Staff Accountant is in charge of preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will take part in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and look over schedules for the reporting processes. This intricate position is involved in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the San Antonio, Texas area, at a company where effort is rewarded.

Responsibilities

- Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management

- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

- Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries

- Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

- Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner

- In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

- Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
