Your Role:

EMD Electronics is hiring for an Administrative Assistant to support its MEGASYS® team in Austin, TX! This is a challenging, hands-on, rewarding job opportunity for people who want to join a growing business. Join us and receive a $1,000 sign-on bonus!

The Administrative Assistant will support the regional Megasys teams by performing essential functions, such as:

  • Scheduling meetings and managing calendars
  • Taking notes and minutes in meetings
  • Inventorying and ordering office supplies
  • Being a point-of-contact for a range of staff and external stakeholders
  • Create presentations for meetings and business trips
  • Create reports and track data on spreadsheets
  • Receiving, processing and directing mail, incoming packages, and deliveries
  • Welcoming visitors and new staff
  • Coordinating onboarding for new hires for all sites within the region
  • Creating and sending emails to teams and departments on behalf of teams or senior staff
  • Researching and booking travel arrangements for staff members
  • Continuously improving administrative processes
  • Be responsible for managing supplier accounts that service all national Megasys offices (i.e. secure-document shredding account)
  • Coordinate the drug-screening program with managers and ensure compliance and proper storage and filing of results

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years administrative experience
  • HS Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage processes and continually improve upon current processes
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Powerpoint and Word
  • Ability to analyze information
  • Ability to make executive decisions and problem-solve
  • Experience with supply management and inventory control
  • Willing to learn and manage by our Merck values of respect for people, ethics and integrity, and innovation and scientific excellence
  • Professionalism in the workplace
