Seeking a professional experienced in Early Childhood Education, analysis, training, and/or technical assistance to join the Head Start Monitoring team at the Lewin Group.

The Lewin Group provides support to the Office of Head Start in monitoring the quality of the over 1800 programs receiving federal funds to provide Head Start and Early Head Start services to children and families across the country.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Developing, testing, and implementing performance measurement tools and reliability systems
  • Analyzing or interpreting and reporting on qualitative and quantitative data in a clear, succinct manner for diverse stakeholders (e.g., grantees, federal staff, Congress) 
  • Developing and facilitating training and technical assistance 
  • Managing project tasks under tight timeframes
  • Collaborating with partners, federal staff, and clients
  • Leveraging Early Childhood Expertise to support business development

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution 
  • 4+ years of experience; including assisting with projects requiring data collection, analysis, and continuous improvement practices 
  • Experience and subject area knowledge of early childhood, elementary, and/or secondary education 
  • Experience with the development of high-quality written products such as tools, presentations, handouts, issue briefs, reports, etc.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with any subject area knowledge of Head Start and Early Head Start program management and operations, and Head Start Program Performance Standards
  • 1+ years of experience with any knowledge of early childhood education systems 
  • 1+ years of experience with early childhood education quality improvement efforts including Quality Rating and Improvement systems, professional development systems, early learning guidelines, child assessment, State prekindergarten, and other early childhood programs and initiatives, and key federal early childhood law, policy, and regulation
  • Collaboration and partnership experience across early care and education systems, including state, regional and federal stakeholders

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900.
