FINANCIAL ANALYST/ACCOUNTANT

Accounting Principals has a Fortune 500 client in the Entertainment industry who is looking for a REMOTE Financial Analyst/Accountant in a contract opportunity.

The ideal Financial Analyst/Accountant candidates will be located in the Eastern time zone, have at least 2-3 years of Accounting and Financial Analysis experience and have previously worked with a larger enterprise.


Our client’s controllership team is seeking a high performing Senior Financial Accounting Analyst to join our team in an exciting growth period for the company.

Responsibilities:

Execution of accounting close, getting accurate results delivered on time for reporting on a quarterly basis.


Reviewing general ledger transactions, preparing journal entries, analyzing variances and reporting analysis to upper management, reconciling balance sheet accounts.


Preparation and assistance in completing SEC disclosures for WDT Controllership and the Client’s Enterprise Reporting team, including but not limited to commitment rollforward, flux analysis, deferred revenue, and details of other current and noncurrent assets and liabilities.


Work in M360 to prepare and review monthly marketing accruals and process marketing invoices.


Work cross-functionally with the marketing and finance teams to ensure proper monthly accruals align with forecasting/budgets.


Vendor onboarding in M360 and SAP.


Create projects (WBS elements) for marketing and maintain project listing.


Send weekly payment report to marketing teams.


Update and maintain production development schedule and book development accrual.


Create and maintain project listing for production development.


Review production development contracts for entry into development schedule.


Update and maintain policies and procedures for assigned product areas.


Provide coding for business partners in channels business unit for multiple items. (i.e. Getty, UPS, production services)


Verify and reconcile travel cards for Studios, Public Relations, etc.

Process and calculate invoices for ASCAP BMI .


Other ad-hoc analysis and requests as needed.
