Position Overview The Navistar San Antonio Manufacturing Plant is a benchmark facility that builds leading-edge commercial vehicles to meet the needs of today's - and tomorrow's - customers. This facility?has the?flexibility to build?Class 6-8 trucks along with Electric Vehicles that allow Navistar to add capacity to support anticipated industry growth. Using the Internet of Things (IoT) and connected manufacturing principles, Navistar's newest manufacturing facility will continue growing our market share gains, optimizing our supplier network and improving quality. We are currently seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our senior staff! The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for all Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Plant Maintenance and Facilities Management, supporting our Body in White, Paint and General Assembly areas. This role is also responsibe for plant facilities, maintenance and grounds, supporting multiple business units within the plant. Responsibilities Works with corporate Advanced Mfg to plan and implement new product and process designs Plant lead for process equipment design and process commissioning Establishes operational objectives, processes and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinate managers Responsible for departmental performance and attainment of key KPIs Drives the Industry 4.0 (internally known as Navistar 4.0) strategy for production, maintenance and facilities Works cross functionally with both internal and external stakeholders during the build out and on a go forward basis Manages the maintenance needs for customer(s) which are co-located in the building with Navistar. This is for the grounds, facilities as well as equipment, ensuring the customersare charged appropriately and timely for the services provided Position is responsible for ensuring business plan numbers are met through effective management of maintenance resources, budget adherence, planning and adjusting asneededThis position is responsible for all decisions made regarding the maintenance of equipment, facilities and allocation of assigned resources Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree At least 10 years of product manufacturing experience At least 4 years of management experience OR Master's degree At least 8 years of product manufacturing experience At least 4 years of management experience OR At least 12 years of product manufacturing experience At least 4 years of management experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Experience in an Industry 4.0 manufacturing environment preferred Experience and understanding of Rockwell Manufacturing Execution System Greenfield, or large brownfield project experience highly desired Extensive management experience with large technical services teams in automotive/truck or engineered to build manufacturing environment Strong Lean Manufacturing experience Demonstrated Continuous Improvement accomplishments Strong aptitude and success working cross functionally with internal and external teams Tech savvy, to include: data gathering, management and use Experience managing project analysis and capital expenses Company Overview Navistar is a purpose-driven company, reimagining how to deliver what matters to create more cohesive relationships, build higher-performing teams and find solutions where others don't.
