Senior UX Interaction Designer
As an Interaction Designer, this position will lead the interaction design efforts for assigned products. This position will improve the overall user experience of these products by leveraging your knowledge of user behavior, goals, and motivations to create user-centered designs that are simple, elegant, and delightful to use. This position will design interaction and/or process flows, as well as conceptual and/or detailed wireframes for these products, to demonstrate your recommendations for improving the user experience. This position will work closely with other members of the user experience team, as well as product management and development teams, to ensure the design you recommend is aligned with user experience standards, business requirements, and technical constraints. This position will present your design recommendation, and iterate as needed, with supporting rationale to user experience, business, and technical stakeholders.
The Senior Interaction Designer should understand the user-centered design process and user experience best practices, as well as apply them on a daily basis to meet deliverables. This level will take on greater responsibility, but they work independently and proactively.
The W2 – rate is $75-80 per hour and the candidate can work 100% remotely
Provide guidance and support to less senior team members. May delegate to less senior visual designers. Design process/interaction flows and information architecture for desktop and mobile applications. Design detailed wireframes with complete functional specifications for desktop and mobile applications. Design high level conceptual wireframes and interactive prototypes, as needed, for desktop and mobile applications. Review and critique interaction and visual design deliverables using principle-based criteria and heuristic evaluations as needed. Seek opportunities to innovate, but will maintain consistency when directed by visual design leadership. Use industry-standard tools for creating deliverables, as directed by interaction design leadership. Follow the user-centered interaction design process and principles, as directed by interaction design leadership. Seek opportunities to innovate, but maintain consistency when directed by visual design leadership. Design high-level conceptual wireframes and interactive prototypes, as needed, for desktop and mobile applications. Produce high-quality designs, as judging by visual design leadership and peer design critiques. Work with supervisor to identify performance improvement opportunities and work to improve performance in those areas. Actively build cross-functional relationships within UX team and within the department, as well as across multiple departments and product teams.
Manage project milestones, deadlines and schedules for assigned projects, keeping the team up to date with progress and decisions from concept through project execution. Capable of managing up to 4 projects at a time with domain expertise in one business line.
Standards / Strategy
Adhere to interaction design standards set by interaction design leadership. Maintain an up-to-date repository of interaction design standards for internal use. Work with supervisor to identify performance improvement opportunities and work to improve performance in those areas. Coll aborate with visual designers during the project lifecycle to ensure the integrity of the interaction design is maintained through the composition of high-fidelity mockups. Maintain knowledge of Premier’s organizational structure
