The Security Administrator, U.S. Security Operations, is a member of UnitedHealth Group’s (UHG) U.S. Security Operations team. The U.S. Security Operations team delivers security solutions across UHG, UnitedHealthcare (UHC), and Optum businesses in the U.S region. The team leverages a strategic approach to threat management, security technology, and guard services, providing consistent, scalable solutions that meet Corporate Security standards and the needs of the business.

The Security Administrator supports delivery of security solutions to assigned business segments. This role is regionally based in the U.S. and reports to the Regional Security Manager, U.S. Security Operations.

Qualified candidates need to have experience within facility or security operations and maintenance. Candidates also need to have demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to effectively plan for and implement physical security enhancements. The candidate will need to build and maintain strong internal relationships to include Real Estate, Health & Safety, and local site-based staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of security solutions that meet the needs of the business through engagement with Corporate Security program leads and subject matter experts.
  • Provide direct support to assigned business segment, to include:
    • Administrative functions to support assigned business segment security operations needs:
      • Intrusion alarm permit processing and management
      • Invoice management for miscellaneous reoccurring expenses
    • Coordinating security service tickets and completion of requests in required timeframe.
    • Liaison with site-based staff to provide service and system admin request status.
    • Complete access badge modification:
      • Terms
      • New hires
      • Modifications
      • New location access badge distribution/assignment
    • Elevate service issues to management as necessary.
    • Follow all policies and procedures and contributes to policy/procedure updates when requested.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.
  • Effectively drive change and positive improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED or above
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service
  • 1+ year of experience in facility or security operations and maintenance.
  • Experience working to problem solve and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize various work orders.
  • Able and willing to work irregular work hours on occasion.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with service coordination for burglar alarm, electronic access control, or physical lock systems
  • Experience in Smartsheets applications
